Can a person get a Secret or Top Secret Clearance if they are a convicted felon for a driving offense?
I was convicted of driving on a suspended license(5th offense) and that is a Felony in Virginia. Do I stand any chance of getting a Secret or Top Secret clearance?
Sometimes things are overlooked if it happened long ago, all was well up to that point and after. If it was minor, happened long ago and the investigator that your life is squared away in many other ways.
But 5 time with one being a felony shows a track record of getting into trouble. And as you probably know in VA if you have just three major offences ( a regular driving on suspended counts) within a certain time period they take your license away for 10 years.
Sorry but there is no way and now that you would be able to get any type of clearance.
