How do I make a coin?
Looking up dorky stuff for D&D I found some cool looking coins for RolePlay game base stuff. Thinking about it I want a coin thats personal to me, but haven't a clue as to how I should go about making one.
*How do I melt it down (copper/ Pewter)
* Beside making a mold how do I make the press? Or where do I buy one?
* If I wanted to make more then a few coins Exp: 100 what cast/ mold should I use.
* and how do they dye coins silver, gold, red, ect.

* Most importantly, how do I melt the metal, and make the coin it self?
I can't answer much about actually melting metals down (that takes specialized equipment and and isn't usually done casually), but you can definitely make "coins" that look any way you want (color, pattern, molded surface, size, etc) from polymer clay, for example.
Polymer clay can be treated with metallic powders or metallic leaf or even metallic waxes that make it metallic (or paints too), and those things often come in colors as well.
You can also make molds using polymer clay, and then cast raw clay in those (baked/hardened) molds as well....or you can use all kinds of other molds to press raw clay into.
Plus, if there is any dimensionality on the coin it can be "antiqued" (often with brown acrylic paint) after baking the clay to create an aged look or just more 3-D effect.
