Dungeons and Dragon's Player's Handbook?
There are 3 different 4th edition Player's Handbooks for Dungeons and Dragons. I need to buy one of them, so of course I'm going to buy the first. But will I be... missing out if I don't have the other 2? I know that there are more classes and races in the other 2. I'm kind of sad that the first one doesn't have a monk or a bard or a half-orc. I'm also kind of broke an can really only buy one manuel.

Obviously, you will be missing out on some material. However, you can make an interesting and effective character with just the first PHB.
Even if you have all three, you'll still be missing the various X Power books, the various campaign settings, stuff from Dragon Magazine and a few other random sources. My point is, very,very few people can afford everything (I certainly can't). One traditional solution is to find players with more money than you for your play group. Especially if they can coordinate their purchases so that they get different books, providing a lot wider coverage. I'd still recommend the first PHB, just because it contains the Core Rules of the game.
